Here is the latest Menu planer. When downloaded with the workbook, the total weight is automatically imported into the weight planner.
To see these you must have IE 4.01 or later and Microsoft Office 2000 installed. I'm trying to fix this so anyone can view them, so bear with me.

Notes:
The main purpose of this spread sheet was to ensure I got the most calories per ounce carried, and to help plan costs for a trip. With an estimate of 2,000-4,000 calories needed per day of hiking, it's easy to see why hikers end up being hungry all the time. My chart sticks to pretty good hiking type foods and still around two pounds of food per day fails to make it to a 3,000 calorie a day average.
